I keep seeing these buses all over Los Angeles and I love them! They are done by the artist Barbara Kruger. This campaign, which launched in October is produced by art organization ForYourArt to benefit the Los Angeles Fund for Public Education (or LA Fund for short), a nonprofit co-founded by LAUSD superintendent John Deasy last year. The campaign is meant to both communicate the critical importance of arts education funding to Angelenos and deliver that art to the city in a kind of mobile gallery. “It’s about the awareness of getting public art into the streets of L.A. and making it accessible to people who wouldn’t otherwise see it.” says LA Fund executive director Dan Chang. Over $4 million in ad space was donated by Clear Channel and CBS to support the campaign, and LA Weekly says that is making it pleasantly unavoidable. I would agree! More art in the streets is always a good happening! Read more about it from LA Weekly’s Blog here
Perry shot this wonderful story in Ireland on the Loggala Estate in County Wicklow with Mr. Dan May from Mr Porter. We love these images and love Mr. Porter. In case you are not in the know – Mr. Porter is the men’s version of Net a Porter – the online women’s shopping fashion site and they call themselvees the online retail destination for men’s style and we agree. We also love the photography they use and the design so we were very happy to work with them. See the whole story here And here is link to more information about the estate if you are going to Ireland – see it here
SPD Unsung Heroes of the West – Part Six – RECAP featuring Jason Holley
In early October we had the Sixth in a continuing series of Unsung Heroes events at the lovely Smashbox Studios in Culver City. The SPD always does a post on their great website of the night – a recap if you will – and they show some of the creatives that are featured so I thought I would share this today as we had some amazing presentations but Jason Holley’s film of his work really stood out – please enjoy!! Take a look here

H&M Maison Martin Margiela – Sam Taylor Johnson – The Print Ads!
Here are the ads – the collection debuts tomorrow! I love this campaign as the Creative Director Markus Kiersztan of MP Creative here developed the ideas with Sam from some of her most iconic art images and the line for H&M is mostly re-isses of iconie pieces from the Margiela line over it’s history. A beautiful collaboration in all ways!
