Patrik Giardino The Tampa Bay Buccaneers – if you can believe it football season has started!

It is a throwback Thursday here at Eye Forward with Perry Ogden……

Patrik Giardino works with Mario Lopez for his book cover – Just Between Us….

Spencer Lowell for TIME Magazine – After EBOLA……

Spencer shot an extensive cover story for TIME for the August 25th issue on the latest disease to rock the world with its severity but specifically the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. Here are two of his favorites shots.

As is often the case the story cut cut down in size as well as the images due to a late breaking news story but we were very happy to work with TIME and the excellent editors there and I am sure this story will continue to develop. When the CDC puts its Emergency Operations Center on high alert you know some thing is serious.

It is ALWAYS Fun to visit the crew at 72 & Sunny!

Laura and I got to visit one of our favorite agencies in LA the other day 72 & Sunny. We had not been to their great new expanded offices on the Hercules Campus at Playa Vista ( the new epicenter of LA agencies ) which was previously occupied by the maverick billionaire Howard Hughes. And after seven months they just expanded into the building next door – this is an agency to be reckoned with.

The company was named “Agency of the Year” for the past two years by Ad Age and Adweek. With offices in Los Angeles and Amsterdam, 72andSunny services clients including Activision, American Legacy Foundation / truth, Anheuser-Busch, Benetton, Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s, ESPN, Google, Samsung, Smirnoff, Sonos, Square, Starbucks and Target.

Heather Elder and Kate Chase in San Francisco at the COMMUNITY TABLE – AGENTS IN CONVERSATION

In San Francisco earlier this year for the Le Book Connections show I was invited to at the fabulous Battery a new private club to a wonderful afternoon get together.

Community Table was formed from the collective efforts of Matt Nycz and Kate Chase of Brite Productions and Heather Elder and Lauranne Lospalluto of Heather Elder Represents with the idea that there is nothing more powerful in our industry than education.

This is the 5th series of posts where they share the results from our conversations held directly with people in the community about top-of-mind photo-industry issues.

And for this series they invited artists’ agents; Deb Ayerst, Ayerst Artists’ Agent, Howard Bernstein, Bernstein & Andrulli, Marge Casey, Wave Represents, Jen Jenkins, Giant Artists and myself to join them for some serious talk.

Thank you to Heather and Kate and Matt and Lauranne for all your work in putting this together and creating this great opportunity for us and for the community to share. I want to acknowledge all of them for doing this on a regular basis and having the intention that we can all benefit from sharing information and bringing people together to talk about our industry.

This whole series is interesting and informative so check out their blogs ( see tags ) to read up but for the one I was part of:

See Part One here

And now for DESSERT see Part Two here
