Patrik Giardino – more from his US Army shoot for McCann Worldwide….

This shoot was one of Patrik’s favorites and biggest challenges and most fun as he was shooting alongside broadcast as well as doing his own stand alone set ups. Working with the real soldiers and equipment from the Army was a thrill for him and I went back to look at these images because of watching American Sniper – which if you have not seen it I highly recommend you do. Either side you are on – pro or against the military I think these dynamic images capture part of the diversity and breadth of what they do.

Frank Ockenfels 3 – The Visit on Broadway – Frank was interviewed…..

Sam Jones – Behind the Scenes with Vanity Fair and Bradley Cooper

If you wondered how they pulled that elephant picture off and or any of the other great shots from Sam’s Vanity Fair cover shoot…. Or you just wanted to see more of Bradley after his amazing performance in American Sniper watch the video above.

Clint Eastwood’s film topped box office charts in North America for a second week, as the box office showed yesterday, as the debate swirls over the Oscar-nominated war drama. Is it pro war or anti war? You decide – either way it is a very fine film and a great performance by Mr. Cooper!

GUEST BLOGGER ALERT // Slideluck + Eye Forward

We were so excited to attend our first ever Slideluck event last week here in Los Angeles. It was a very special night being our first time attending the fabulous event, but also because we were able to collaborate with such a great team and support the Slideluck organization as sponsors!

If you aren’t familiar with Slideluck, you definitely should be! The non-profit organization now holds these events across the country and even across the globe, bringing curated slideshows and potlucks to thousands.

What I loved and found interesting about the event other than the various selected works, was how something as simple as a “potluck” themed gathering really brought a sense of community to what otherwise would have just been another photographic exhibition. It was warm, friendly and really had a great energy.

A BIG thank you again to the SlideluckLA team and the entire Slideluck organization for letting us get involved – it was truly a pleasure! To find out more, click here.

And check out more photos from last week’s event on their Facebook page!

Some help arrived today from our friends at YODELIST!!

Spencer Lowell and The Hollywood Reporter and the artist Paul McCarthy

THR recently had a section titled Art & Hollywood: The A List Collectors. For this section Spencer photographed Paul McCarthy who lives and works in Los Angeles and whose story was more his take on the controversial inflatable sculpture TREE ( what was it really shaped after?> ) that was in the Place Vendome as part of the FIAC Art Fair earlier this year, than about a specific collector or his work. For Audrey Landreth the Photo Editor of THR and Spencer this was a personal thrill to meet an artist that they had both long admired!

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!”
