Spencer Lowell’s New Work in The Wall Street Journal: The Marciano Art Foundation

Three years ago, Maurice Marciano, co-founder of the brand Guess, purchased a vacant 1960’s Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Los Angeles and has now transformed it into the Marciano Art Foundation, an incredible and unique museum filled with 1,500 pieces of contemporary art. During the remodel, Marciano also discovered many historic artifacts in the building already, which are now being preserved and shared for others to see. The revival of the temple, the WSJ article states, “has been hailed as proof that this fresh-faced city has history to preserve”.

Spencer Lowell had the pleasure of photographing Marciano and the museum for this awesome new story, which you can check out online here or in the latest issue of WSJ on stands now! And don’t forget to visit the museum in the Spring, when the Marcianos plan to open its doors to the public!
