We’ve been waiting for it all week and it’s FINALLY here!

All we want to do is get off work and kick back by our favourite pool in LA at The Standard Hollywood.

Spencer Lowell was lucky enough to spend a day there shooting the pool deck, and we love these shots above.

Spencer Lowell photographs Barbara Bestor, one of my favorite architects for THR

Spencer and I are both fans of her work. She is working on some amazing projects right now including the restoration of John Lautner’s Silvertop in my neighbor and authored the book that kind of started the Silver Lake neighbor hood craze – ten years ago now – WOW – Bohemian Modern!

This article was on Hollywood’s favorite ” Star Architects ”

Dewey Nicks shoots Brigette Romanek & Estee Stanley for Architectural Digest

Always fun to shoot your friends – we love this fun and happy picture Dewey did for AD!

Romanek’s elegantly updated Hollywood house (“Blithe Spirit”) marks the debut project of Hancock Design, the Los Angeles interiors firm helmed by Romanek (above, left) and Stanley (right). Named after the city’s Hancock Park enclave, where the pair met four years ago and became fast friends, the partnership developed organically. “We had talked about teaming up for a while,” says Stanley, who is also a veteran celebrity stylist. “We’ve always loved each other’s style and vibe.” Adds Romanek, “We have different aesthetics, and we make each other better.” The duo is currently decorating several private residences and clubs, plus the Sherman Oaks iteration of the famed L.A. bistro Petit Trois.
