Devon Halfnight LeFlufy – I am so proud of my nephew!!

Devon just graduated from The Royal Academy in Antwerp with his Masters Degree in Fashion. His graduation show was covered by Suzy Menkes in the Tribune as well as on the NY Times website. He is a mens wear designer! Here he is in the September issue of ID Magazine. His men’s collection called True Believer is a collaboration with his Canadian friend and artist Brian Kokoska and will be carried in Opening Ceremony this Fall as well as some other Japanese stores. How proud am I? Here is his Facebook link to follow more on him – and LIKE him please! And his website is here too.

Louie FX

Frank Ockenfels 3 – Louis C.K.

There are billboards for the upcoming Emmys and for consideration of the last season of FX’s Louie season up all around LA – as seen in this billboard on Sunset Blvd. Love this simple B&W portrait that Frank did on the last shoot with Louis.

Louis is amazing as we know and is really great in the new Woody Allen movie Blue Jasmine if you have not seen it.

HAPPY FRIDAY!! If you are missing NYC like Laura and I always do….Watch this great film…..

A Year in New York from Andrew Clancy on Vimeo.

Josh our pal at MAL sent Laura this piece from VIMEO by Andrew Clancy. Laura and I both have lived in NYC and miss it all the time so we loved watching this and love the music too. Thanks Josh!

Andrew Clancy writes: As a filmmaker living in New York for the first time, I’d grab my Canon 7D and shoot footage of what was going on around me, to try and take in all that was happening. To try and capture the sense of community I felt in a place so large and diverse.
It seemed like a never ending project and you could stay filming life in New York for a long time. But eventually I put my camera down and started to edit. Here’s the end result, it’s a bit rough and tumble but that’s life in the Big Apple I guess.
Turn up the volume or put your in earphones for the beautiful song ‘We Don’t Eat’ by Irishman James Vincent McMorrow.
For those who asked these are the lens I used:
Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Sigma 20mm f/1.8 EX DG RF
