Michael Phelps by Patrik Giardino

As well all know after this weekend in Rio, Phelps is now the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a total of 28 medals and as was predicted now he says goodbye!

“This is what I wanted to finish my career. This is the cherry that I wanted to put on the top of the cake,” said Phelps, who confirmed at a press conference in Rio that he is retiring from competitive swimming after a journey of sporting highs and personal challenges that has had no equal in Olympic history.

Thanks for the inspiration and the thrills – it has been an incredible ride!

Patrik Giardino shoots Rickie Fowler for The Red Bulletin

Rick Yutaka Fowler is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour.

Patrik shot him for the June cover of Red Bulletin.

He will be playing in The Open Championship at Royal Troon in the UK July 14-17th.

Since 1860, The Open has been played over some of the world’s most cherished links courses and has produced a remarkable legacy of great champions. It is the oldest and most international championship in professional golf and the Claret Jug – first presented in 1873 – is one of the most iconic trophies in all of sport.
